Angela's principle roles include accounts and IT System Support, as well as overall administration for the business.

Dani joined the team in order to deepen his knowledge of oriental product and carpets. Working closely alongside Hamid, his wish is to gain a wider experience in the art of Persian product and all the techniques used in restoration and cleaning. His interest and enthusiasm for the designs is apparent when you speak to him and his foundation knowledge is steadily deepening under Hamid. A keen eye for colour and a helpful manner make him perfect in aiding you in your search for the right piece.

 

Hamid received his training in the cleaning, repair and restoration of traditional handmade carpets, while working in the trade with experts across a number of countries. He has gained an international portfolio over the last 15 years since moving to the United Kingdom. His ever growing knowledge of traditional Persian techniques is put to good advantage in meeting the needs of his European customers. Hamid qualified under the Tehran Carpet Sellers Chamber of Guilds and is an expert in both cleaning and restoration of handmade carpets.

Raheleh has studied Architecture for the last 8 years but has always had a close connection with oriental carpets.

We are fortunate that she combines her architectural design skills with her passion for oriental carpets, and has designed some beautiful carpets exclusively for The Rug Shop of Tunbridge Wells.

Reza works daily at the Grand Bazaar Farsh, Iran (the largest handmade carpet Bazaar in the world.) He took up his role in the family business after his father passed away and is now recognised as one of the largest merchants of handmade carpets at Grand Bazaar Farsh. Reza spends a lot of his time visiting the carpet making villages of Iran. As such, Reza sources some of the most unique and beautiful carpets produced in the Middle East.
