This colourful kilim is hand knotted using wool and natural vegetable dyes. the rug features traditional motifs throughout the rug, the most common of which are the star motifs symbolising marriage and happiness. In eastern cultures, such motifs are often weaved into rugs to be offered as wedding gifts.
