This rug is perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of vintage charm to their rooms. The classical design, and rich autumn colours in this rug perfectly capture the aesthetic of the worlds most renowned antique pieces.
Produced in India using delicately hand spun wool, natural dyes and hand-knotted by highly skilled rug weavers.
The design featured in this rug is inspired by traditional Persian Farahan rugs. Farahans were originally weaved in the Arak region of western Iran. Designs often featured all-over floral motifs, though there were many also featuring medallions.
This colourful floral pattern of this piece is set against the rich burnt orange background and border. though the design of the piece would be best described as all-over; the way the floral motifs converge at the centre of the piece almost creates a medallion from which the other vines and arabesques flow out of.
