This Persian rug has a wool foundation and a wool pile. It has a standard 110 knots per square inch.
The Iman Lo is made within the province of Shiraz in a village of the same name. The people who live in the village are settled nomadic people related to the Qashqai. The designs of these rugs are often very similar to other tribal pieces but, the quality of the wool and dyes used is of much softer and finer quality. The medallion design repeated outwards creates a ripple effect which is then skilfully inlaid with an all over design. The rich reds are offset wonderfully by the central greens.
