This Persian rug has a cotton foundation and a wool pile. It has a respectable 165 knots per square inch.
Sarouk rugs were originally produced within the village of Sarouk situated in the western Iranian province of Arak. The pieces often feature a wide aray of floral motifs, the most common of which is the boteh design.
