Oriental Rugs Tribal

Our range of authentic tribal rugs features pieces that we have personally sourced from many of the Middle East’s tribal and nomadic peoples. The rugs often display geometric motifs that have cultural meaning for the rug weaver’s tribe. The rug designs are not often planned out ahead of time but are made using the weaver’s imagination. It is unusual to find tribal rugs that are large due to limitations in loom size. Pieces are often weaved for the personal use of the tribe.
